I initially joined NAHC during 1986 and was so please with the magazine and the product testing, because it was free, that I upgraded my membership on November 1988 to 'Life Member'. Everything was fine until a few years ago when Steve Burke decided to have its members pay an initial fee to test products GIVEN to them for testing - "At no cost to them." NOW he's screwing the members by eliminating the magazine and stating members can go online to read what they want.

I contracted for the magazine and that's what I want. This 'Dip-S__t' went as far as to pull his 1-800 number so you can't call him. The BBB states the NAHC is not an "ACREDITED Business".

It's obvious the Steve and Paul Burke are both liberal democrats that supported the *** in Washington, D.C. Who else would pull this *** on loyal members ???

Reason of review: no magazine issuance.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

North American Hunting Club Cons: Unable to contact, No customer service phone number, Under handed business.

Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania

The NAMG (the parent company of NAHC) has been sold multiple times since the mid-1990s and things have steadily gone down hill. They no longer deliver any kind of magazine at all since they merged with Scout in 2013 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scout_Media).

Scout wanted a digital only presence - No Magazine.

Scout Media filed for bankruptcy in 2016, and has been acquired by CBS Sports Digital in 2017. All indicators point that the NAHC will be completely gone in the very near future.

I personally know Steve and Paul Burke (who passed away back in March of 2005) and I too am a Life Member of the NAHC. But you have a number of facts wrong: the Burkes sold the NAHC (along with it's sister companies including the NAFC) to a company called CUC back in September 1995 (google it if it matters).

It has since been sold several more times and is currently owned by Scout (as indicated on the North American Hunter Website - http://www.scout.com/outdoors/hunting).

I agree that the club has gone steadily down hill since the Burkes sold the company. I stopped getting the magazine years ago, but do not care anymore anyways - the magazine hasn't been good for years.

Your anger is warranted, but you should direct it where it belongs - Scout (http://www.scout.com/). They are the ones eliminating all the benefits including the magazine.

So that's why I haven't got a magazine in almost a year now, pretty ***.
